For those you just use fast start not sure whether the compressed header will save an significant time. You can correct any existing movies just by opening them and doing a Save As, Self Contained. The new file will be fast start.
For you interest, all it's doing is making sure the movie info is at the front of the file, not at the end. When you do edits the change of movie info is stuck at the end, so if you make an innocent change after getting a movie ready for the web, it could well prevent it from playing while downloading, as the whole file would have to download before the movie info was reached.
