In the very, very beginning people used actual drum machines and spun in scratched or sampled off vinyl. But quite early on, other artists were sampling drums they liked off successful records. So instead of a kick, you sampled a kick you liked from someone else's house or techno 12".
It was already processed and mastered, and often crowd tested. And Zero-G. I've tried some Vengeance stuff but can't say I like it that much. It sounds thin and over-processed.
And I woudn't be suprised if they used the same samples over and over again with a litte twist on different sample packs. Guys enough with the one word "you have no talent if you use vengeance" posts nobody thinks you're funny and it's not helpful whatsoever. I mistakenly bought the pack ultimate fills vol 2 thought it has some, it doesn't have either! As far as I know the FX pack has the sweeps but they don't have a pack with only kicks, just all percussion for a genre.
Sweeps are really not hard to make though, so if you want to save money, spend time learning. Edit: they do have a kick only thing in the shape of their "Metrum" plugin. Thanks for the reply. I'm not looking for only kicks, but snares and claps too. I know I can make my own but I need different types of sweeps and am willing to pay for that.
Aw man, that stinks. You can't really return a sample pack, can you? What genre are you looking for? I think you should be looking at the Essentials series, if indeed you want to go Vengeance for samples. I don't buy from them anymore. They, usually give you the opportunity to only buy certain parts of the sample pack should you choose. Also, I find their samples to be at least as good as Vengeance.
For the price, you are also going to get a lot more from those other guys too. Plus the ability to pick and choose what you would like.
Wave Alchemy has a ton of free stuff so you can peep the quality. Vengeance is the industry standard. I bet there is a vengeance sample in almost every electronic song you hear. You'd be surprised. Share the link. Add a Comment.
